Heatwave

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the main building being thick-walled, we are more fortunate than some schools. However, adaptations are being made such as Fallow Deer class using the hall instead of the upstairs classroom when needed and, other than the water play sessions, children will be:

  • Avoiding lots of movement (at lunchtimes/playtimes and no PE in the afternoon)
  • Inside or in deep shade outside
  • Encouraged to drink more frequently
  • Regularly checked for signs of overheating

The pre-school building is in full sun and is thin-skinned. Therefore, pre-school parents are encouraged to keep children at home on Monday and Tuesday. If this is not possible for you due to work commitments, a small group can join reception children in the main building if needed.

If you have any queries, please contact the school.

See summary of 2021-22 assessment outcomes in Parents' Info-Results section. Well done everyone!
