We were so proud to take our KS2 children to watch the race pass through. We had great views near Beechenhurst of the cyclist coming down the hill in the distance then up past us through a ‘King of the Mountain’ section. It was amazing! We waved and cheered every passing police motorbike and car; race support cars and of course the pelatons!
It was a brilliant atmosphere and we really wanted to take the children to continue our work on the sheer determination shown by our inspirational Olympics and Paralympics teams. Guess what our school value is this term? Yes-DETERMINATION!
Well done to all children for their excellent behaviour and many thanks to all the Tour of Britain cars and police for sounding their sirens for us and waving as much as we were!
