Internet safety week-raising awareness and keeping safe

This week, all classes have been refreshing their internet safety knowledge. On Thursday, Mark from Konflux Theatre came to do workshops with Y1 to Y4 children. Children learned more about cyber bullying; keeping their personal information safe and that the world wide web is just that-it is ‘world wide’. Just like the real world, the internet world can be fun and exciting but can also be dangerous and strangers from all around the world can contact children if they give out their details.

We recently sent out a letter about internet safety (click on it below) and encourage you to come and speak to us if you have any concerns. We are increasingly dealing with issues between children on social media and are aware that many children are accessing online games that are meant for adults. Please keep your child safe and use internet filters; check who they are communicating with on these games and ensure that they are not giving their real name, contact details or location.
