Track and Trace when the term has ended:

New: DfE Track and Trace information for the end of term:

For the first 6 days after term ends, if a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms within 48 hours of being in school, the school needs to be informed to assist in identifying close contacts and advising self-isolation, as the individual may have been infectious whilst in school.

Therefore if your child develops symptoms within  48 hours of leaving school on Fri 18th Dec or tests positive within 6 days (ie up to Christmas Eve) please email head@woodside.gloucs.sch.uk so that we can inform everyone who needs to isolate…

Remain vigilant: Please continue to protect your bubble as the last thing we want now is for anyone to have to isolate over Christmas! Please remain very vigilant for symptoms and do not send your child to school if they have any of the following symptoms:

  • a high temperature– this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough– this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste– this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
